Michael Hernandez, Senior Project Manager, notes, “I am glad to be a part of a team that works with integrity and has an established positive reputation in the community.” Michael joined the Broeren Russo team after gaining 20 years of industry experience in Architecture, Development and Construction Management. His daily responsibilities include on-site project management, communication, and coordination with architects, owners and subcontractors.
Austin Hogue rejoined the Broeren-Russo team in 2014 as an Estimator, and is now the Construction Services Manager. Austin notes, “The BR team rallies together to put our best foot forward when preparing estimates through the completion of a project.” As the Construction Services Manager, Austin’s responsibilities include reviewing plans and specs, preparing project schedules, communicating with subcontractors, and coordinating the construction team for each of his projects.
Brent Moore joined the Broeren Russo team in 2013, and is now a Project Manager. Brent notes, “Working on-site is very fulfilling because it allows me to build strong relationships with our project team through daily communication.” Brent spends much of his time providing on-site management and subcontractor coordination. “Communication is an essential characteristic of a successful project and we measure success by our ability to exceed client expectations.”
Kaelob Capel draws on his past experience as a project engineer and building inspector in fulfilling his responsibilities as a Project Manager. “I enjoy being onsite and collaborating with the subcontractors to achieve the overall goal of exceeding a client’s expectations.” His ability to manage daily on-site project needs and communicate in a diplomatic manner with all parties allows him to guide each project to successful completion.
Nathan Steffen is excited to join the Broeren Russo team as a Project Manager. “Broeren Russo is a company with a great family environment where everyone works as a team to provide a successful project within budget and on-time,” he notes. Nathan uses his experience in the architecture and design/build industry to communicate clearly with architects, owners and subcontractors. Nathan’s ability to quickly identify concerns and propose timely solutions allows him to successfully lead his team on each project.
Jacob Scott, Senior Project Engineer, decided to join the Broeren Russo team because he wanted to partner with owners to successfully complete projects on time and within budget. Jacob is a 2011 graduate of the Civil Engineering program at the University of Illinois. Through his past experiences as a superintendent, field engineer, and quality control manager, Jacob has developed a strong ability to gather and communicate information that is vital to keeping projects moving forward.
Tyler Adkins is a Senior Project Engineer on the Broeren Russo team. A 2013 graduate of Illinois State University in Construction Management, Tyler also has experience in carpentry, masonry, concrete, and project management. Tyler describes Broeren Russo as “the ultimate team & family environment. Every team member is given the proper tools and support to succeed.” Tyler’s responsibilities include communication and coordination of subcontractors, as well as on-site management.
Abi Kadur is excited about his position as a Senior Project Engineer at Broeren Russo. Abi graduated from the University of Illinois with a Masters in Civil Engineering. In his role as Senior Project Engineer, Abi is responsible for RFI submittals, project control and subcontractor relations. “At Broeren Russo, everyone is committed to the same goal: delivering projects at the highest quality, while going the extra mile to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors,” Abi notes.
Gokhul Ranganath, Project Engineer, joined the Broeren Russo team after completing a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois. Gokhul appreciates working with highly skilled and motivated individuals each day. His responsibilities include document control, daily progress reports, and subcontractor relations. “Teamwork goes a long way for Broeren Russo and our clients,” Gokhul notes. “It enables us to meet schedule deadlines and handle projects with top quality.”
Brian Cameron joined Broeren Russo Builders Inc. as a Project Engineer after earning a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. He also spent several years working for a large construction firm in the Chicago area. Brian enjoys collaborating with the project team to create order out of the chaotic elements inherent in constructing large buildings. “The team approach at Broeren Russo is what I like best about this company,” Brian notes.
Nick Schnepper, Project Engineer, brings a wide variety of work and life experiences to the Broeren Russo team. Nick spent several years gaining experience as a general contractor in Chicago. In addition, he brings a unique perspective through his previous labor experience in the construction industry. In his role as Project Engineer, Nick uses his communication and organizational skills to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Jordon Keys is the Safety Manager for the Broeren Russo Builders team. He draws on knowledge gained through a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management from Indiana State University, as well as hands-on experience as a Journeyman Laborer and Project Manager. Jordon notes, “I appreciate the opportunity to experience many aspects of the construction industry while I perform safety audits and ensure a safe working environment for our team.”
Brandon Cooper is an Assistant Project Engineer for Broeren Russo. “Working with such an experienced team as Broeren Russo is both amazing and humbling,” he notes. After completing two years in the College
of Engineering at the University of Illinois, Brandon spent fifteen years in the workforce in management roles. The skills that Brandon developed help him work alongside the Project Engineers to complete tasks promptly and communicate clearly with all individuals on the jobsite.
With over 40 years in the construction business, Gene Lenzi joined the Broeren Russo team in January of 2005, bringing this wealth of construction experience. His typical day includes obtaining plans and specs, working out details with subcontractors, participating in pre-bid meetings, meeting with owners, and ultimately preparing precise estimates. “The Broeren Russo management team’s diverse background and experience would probably surprise most people,” he adds. “We have earned our reputation for great buildings and great relationships.”
