Illinois Terminal
Champaign, IL

Broeren Russo served as a prime contractor for this building, which serves as the new headquarters for Amtrak, MTD and Greyhound. Broeren Russo was responsible for gypsum partitions, acoustic ceiling, decorative columns, millwork, painting and the decorative stairs and handrail.

University of Illinois - Chemical and Life Sciences Building

As a prime contractor for this $65,000,000 laboratory and classroom building, Broeren Russo was responsible for doors, frames, hardware, casework and safety features. The job was completed over a two-year time span.

University of Illinois - Illini Union

Broeren Russo coordinated the enclosure of an interior courtyard to create indoor recreation space. In addition, the existing staircase from the basement to the fourth floor was removed and replaced with a new staircase. Broeren Russo was responsible for installation of all structural items, millwork, gypsum systems and special finishes. Since the Illini Union serves as the hub of the University of Illinois campus, the project was accomplished during summer break.

University of Illinois - College of Law

This project included four major additions to and remodeling of the Law Building on the University of Illinois campus. Each of the four elevations of the existing structure was expanded to accommodate 45,000 square feet of additional space. The complex includes a new classroom and food court, a library, an upgraded lobby, and an ADA-compliant entrance.

University of Illinois - Assembly Hall

Broeren Russo coordinated the restoration of the exterior concrete ramp at the entry level of this 16,000-seat arena. Broeren Russo replaced unsuitable concrete materials at exterior ramps and provided new walking surfaces. To accommodate the ongoing events hosted by the Assembly Hall, this area had to be kept open during the construction process.

Village of Savoy IL Recreation Center
Savoy, IL

Serving as the General Contractor on this project, Broeren Russo converted an existing church into this 20,000 square foot facility. It features a new 10,000 square foot Multi Purpose Gymnasium addition with a mezzanine walking track and activities viewing area. The remodeling and a second addition to the existing include an exercise room, aerobics room, administrative offices and a multi functional community room. The new barrel vault roofs set the look of this facility aside from any other in the area.
