“I enjoy the family atmosphere at Broeren Russo, where everyone is going in the right direction,” says Scott Browning, Senior Estimator. Scott joined the Broeren Russo team in 2016 and appreciates the variety in his daily responsibilities. “Being involved in the construction industry provides a constant learning environment, even after 28 years of experience,” Scott notes. Scott’s responsibilities include bidding public and private projects, updating and tracking cost histories, and evaluating the current market.
Michael Hernandez, Senior Project Manager, notes, “I am glad to be a part of a team that works with integrity and has an established positive reputation in the community.” Michael joined the Broeren Russo team after gaining 20 years of industry experience in Architecture, Development and Construction Management. His daily responsibilities include on-site project management, communication, and coordination with architects, owners and subcontractors.
Austin Hogue rejoined the Broeren-Russo team in 2014 as an Estimator, and is now a Senior Project Engineer. Austin notes, “The BR team rallies together to put our best foot forward when preparing estimates through the completion of a project.” As a Senior Project Engineer, Austin’s responsibilities include reviewing plans and specs, preparing project schedules, communicating with subcontractors, and coordinating the construction team for each of his projects.
Brent Moore joined the Broeren Russo team in 2013, and is now a Senior Project Engineer. Brent notes, “Working on-site is very fulfilling because it allows me to build strong relationships with our project team through daily communication.” Brent spends much of his time providing on-site management and subcontractor coordination. “Communication is an essential characteristic of a successful project and we measure success by our ability to exceed client expectations.”
Jacob Scott, Senior Project Engineer, decided to join the Broeren Russo team because he wanted to partner with owners to successfully complete projects on time and within budget. Jacob is a 2011 graduate of the Civil Engineering program at the University of Illinois. Through his past experiences as a superintendent, field engineer, and quality control manager, Jacob has developed a strong ability to gather and communicate information that is vital to keeping projects moving forward.
Tyler Adkins is a Senior Project Engineer on the Broeren Russo team. A 2013 graduate of Illinois State University in Construction Management, Tyler also has experience in carpentry, masonry, concrete, and project management. Tyler describes Broeren Russo as “the ultimate team & family environment. Every team member is given the proper tools and support to succeed.” Tyler’s responsibilities include communication and coordination of subcontractors, as well as on-site management.
Jordon Keys is the Safety Manager for the Broeren Russo Builders team. He draws on knowledge gained through a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management from Indiana State University, as well as hands-on experience as a Journeyman Laborer and Project Manager. Jordon notes, “I appreciate the opportunity to experience many aspects of the construction industry while I perform safety audits and ensure a safe working environment for our team.”
Josh Kuhn joined the Broeren Russo team in 2015 as a Project Engineer and Assistant Superintendent. A graduate of Illinois State University in Construction Management, Josh also has experience in residential carpentry and excavation. Because Josh is usually involved in several small projects at once, his daily tasks involve communication and coordination with various subcontractors, superintendents, architects and owners. “I enjoy being a part of all the different jobs that we have,” Josh notes.
Abi Kadur is excited about his position as a Project Engineer at Broeren Russo. Abi graduated from the University of Illinois with a Masters in Civil Engineering. In his role as Project Engineer, Abi is responsible for RFI submittals, project control and subcontractor relations. “At Broeren Russo, everyone is committed to the same goal: delivering projects at the highest quality, while going the extra mile to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors,” Abi notes.
Gokhul Ranganath, Project Engineer, joined the Broeren Russo team after completing a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois. Gokhul appreciates working with highly skilled and motivated individuals each day. His responsibilities include document control, daily progress reports, and subcontractor relations. “Teamwork goes a long way for Broeren Russo and our clients,” Gokhul notes. “It enables us to meet schedule deadlines and handle projects with top quality.”
Brian Cameron joined Broeren Russo Builders Inc. as a Project Engineer after earning a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. He also spent several years working for a large construction firm in the Chicago area. Brian enjoys collaborating with the project team to create order out of the chaotic elements inherent in constructing large buildings. “The team approach at Broeren Russo is what I like best about this company,” Brian notes.
Cory Sands, Project Engineer, brings a wide variety of work and life experiences to the Broeren Russo team. Cory is a Veteran of the US Marine Corps, where he earned multiple commendations and awards. He also has 11 years of hands-on experience in the trades, including drywall, painting, and concrete. In his role as Project Engineer, Cory uses his communication and organizational skills to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Thomas performs a variety of daily tasks to ensure the success of Broeren Russo projects.
