Company Info About Us Leadership Mission / Operating Principles Careers News		Stuart W Broeren President, Chief Executive Officer As President and Chief Executive Officer, Stuart oversees the daily operations of finance, risk management, marketing and owner negotiations. A 1977 graduate of the University of Illinois where he majored in finance, Stuart began his career in construction as president and chief executive officer of S. W. Broeren, Inc. In 1989, he and long time friend, John Russo, decided to blend their talents and form Pinnacle Consultants. After two years, the two companies merged to form Broeren Russo Construction, Inc. Stuart has held office in a number of professional organizations, including the Central Illinois Builders Association, the National Board of Directors of the Associated General Contractors of America, and the Champaign County Contractors Association. He was a founding member of the Champaign County Labor-Management Committee, and was a member of the Young Presidents Organization. An active community volunteer, Stuart is involved with the United Way, YMCA, Champaign West Rotary, University of Illinois Foundation, American Cancer Society, Provena Covenant Hospital Foundation, Carle Hospital Foundation, Pinnacle Forum, and Alliance Defense Fund.

		John M Russo Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer As Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, John is responsible for daily construction operations and field activities, including project management, bidding, negotiations and awarding of all subcontracts. John began his career in 1971 as a carpenter for Hallbeck Homes in Champaign. He studied architecture at the University of Illinois and received a Bachelor’s degree in construction management from Bradley University in Peoria. Following graduation, he joined Schal Associates in Chicago where he worked with clients such as Amoco, Ameritech, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and Norwest Bank. In 1989, John and long-time friend, Stuart Broeren, formed Pinnacle Consultants. Two years later, this firm merged with S. W. Broeren to form Broeren Russo Construction, Inc. John is very involved in community activities. He currently serves as Director of The High School of St. Thomas More’s Foundation Board, and he and his family are very active within the St. Matthew Parish and School. He has been involved with youth athletics for many years and is the current President of the Kiwanis Border Little League Board. John has also served on the Provena Covenant Medical Center Advisory Board and is a past chairman of the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer.
